This week are joined by Sara and Alix from the As Told Over Brunch and Passports and Photographs blogs.  This past weekend was the official Brunch Weekend here in town which means we managed to miss it by one week, or are just the first to let you know about Brunch Weekend 2018.  We learn that sharing a link to an old episode of the podcast, even if it is somewhat relevant, may not be the best way to secure guests.  We probably would have had better luck with a picture of tall dudes with puppies.  The quality of some of the glasses we have been "purchasing" from local breweries comes into question, as well as the meaning behind the name of a certain upstart bike club.

This week we recap a road-trip across Costa Rica that a rental Hyundai may never recover from.  Road-trips typically require an address as a final destination, but when the address is as vague as the red door after the big turn things can get tricky.  This is where being able to communicate can be a life saver, but we soon learn that the only true universal language is emojis.  People do tend to want to help people though so if you stick at it you can usually get your hands on plenty of beer and even more chicken to fuel the ride.  Just don't expect the journey to be a fast one because paradise rarely moves at the speed of the rest of world.  Pura Vida.

It is a big world out there people, and in order to see it you are going to have to travel.  Some people will journey far from home, but still refuse to expand their horizons, while others will experience all that a new place has to offer.  An "easy" way to force yourself to travel is to join the military; you will certainly see and learn some new things this way.  If you do go this route you may also be shocked to learn how much more efficient you can become too.  Whether you stand, sit, or kind of squat, this episode will make for a good traveling companion once you download it to your phone.  As we embark on another journey let us remind you that a wise man once said, “Nothing is as overrated as sex, and as underrated as a good shit”.

Odds are you have found this episode online which is great news because you can always believe everything online, and what you hear today will be no exception.  The truth is that it can be harder to separate fact from fiction now more than ever, and this week we are tested more than once.  We are getting better at this though because one of us has embraced the shady side of the internet by becoming a bit of a troll.  One thing that we know to be true is that even if you are asleep you can still be capable of some really odd actions typically reserved for the awake.  We also learn that 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon is a much longer journey than it would take to connect many others; guess you can't believe everything.

Zima is back and most of us are pretty excited!  It sounds like they may take a page out of the McRib playbook though and just let us sample the 90s throwback for a limited time.  Walmart released its own craft beer, but their's was forced into a limited time promotion for other reasons.  We learn a little more about  copper compression sleeves, but it is still not really known if they work or don't.  Speaking of things we think we know:  The Earth is still round right?  It is a debate that we thought was put to rest years ago, but it seems to be making a comeback.  Another comeback is making it's rounds, and for most it is pretty easy to accomplish, while for others a transplant may be required.  One thing that we can all agree on is that Mac and Cheese made from powder is better than the kind that comes with the cheese pre-mixed right...no...maybe.  Some things are just not as clear as they seem.
