Rules can come in written and un-written form, some are more like suggestions, and others are outright ignored.  The rules on charm are often spoken with a southern accent, but in many ways acted upon in the mid-west.  Festival rules are known to be written for the sake of having them to point to and not much more, but you would expect the laws of commerce to still apply.  As a rule of thumb anything fried will taste better, but we learn how far this can be taken and no one is complaining.  The rules of sportsmanship are unwritten, and when bent can often be pretty funny.  What rules do you abide by...we will hang up our flip phones and listen for your response.

The world is full of scary things both past and present.  This week we learn about the most popular podcast in America at the moment, but if they found the scary story they were looking for is still very much up for debate.  We are still discovering dinosaurs that are more terrifying than we ever believed them to be.  A Hermit terrorizes the woods in the night, but a simple Blue Apron meal could have easily kept him busy for hours.  The horror of an episode that arrives a day late, and certainly a dollar short is also realized.  The good news is they are still handing out credit to the uneducated every chance they get...and that is scary in its own right.

Rental cars keep finding their way into the show, and this week we may have found the fastest one yet, or at least the fastest wearing tires.  They can be a necessary evil if you want to travel, but they can also be a welcome end to a difficult journey.  Some missions last forever, and we recall the good and bad of a classic never ending story.  Debating the finest burger coast to coast is a voyage that will probably never be finalized, but is always worth exploring.  At least the story of crazy manatee love has a finale, and it isn't as bad as it seemed at first.

This week we are joined by Ryan from www.MilkAndHoneyLuxuries.com and his story reminds us that the American Dream is alive and well.  Even when you are pursuing a solid career an even better option can always fall in your lap.  The same can be happen if you are on a pilgrimage for the best Nashville Hot Chicken so always keep your options open.  Sometimes we don't want to be open to a new experience or conversation so we pull the old my headphones are on trick, but even then you may have to hear a new take on old story.  We meet another man who even after a potentially life altering tragedy manages to find a fresh outlook on life, or at least his face.  Try the Lengua.
